Colas Hrvatska d.d. is one of the leading companies in Croatian civil engineering, founded in 1962 under the name Cesta Varaždin. Throughout its history, the company has gone through a series of organizational and structural changes conditioned by social and economic circumstances, always taking care to maintain excellence in its operations. Since 2007, the company has been part of the large global group Colas SA, which operates in over 50 countries on 5 continents.

What we do?

Specializing in the production and sale of asphalt and emulsions, as well as the construction, reconstruction and maintenance of highways, state, county and local roads and traffic areas within industrial, commercial, sports, recreational and tourist facilities, we have reached the pinnacle of Croatian construction and have maintained our position as one of the leaders of Croatian civil engineering to this day.

Our business units

Colas Hrvatska d.d. owns five asphalt bases located in Varaždin, Lepoglava, Posedarje, Dugopolje and AB Mironja in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, and offers a wide range of cationic and polymer-modified bitumen emulsions produced in its own plant located next to the Varaždin asphalt base.

With the total number of tons of asphalt produced in the past years, Colas Hrvatska is one of the leading companies in asphalt production.

Our projects

Since its establishment, Colas Hrvatska has built transport infrastructure throughout Croatia and recorded hundreds of built kilometers in its business references. From the north to the south of Croatia, Varaždin County, where the company is headquartered, the neighboring counties, Lika, Istria, Dalmatia, and all the way to the extreme south of Croatia, including the islands, Colas is on the map of project contractors of public and private investors.

Products

Since the quality of our products is continuously improving, they are accordingly certified according to international standards for quality management, the environment and the protection of health and safety at work. The fractions that Colas Mineral offers to its customers vary depending on the specific requirements of the project and local resources, but also on the availability of individual aggregates in the production facilities. Among the most common aggregates we offer are the following aggregates: for concrete, for use in construction and road construction, for bituminous mixtures and surface treatment of roads, airport runways and other traffic areas, for mortar, and no less important natural gravel. On the other hand, we are talking about fractions 0-1 mm 0-4 mm, 4-8 mm, 8-16 mm, 16-32 mm, 32+ mm, which, in addition to the above, are used for the production of various glazes, embankments, beach decoration and other public and private areas, construction of drainage and sports fields, i.e. fields. Moreover, we are happy to offer our customers customized recipes of aggregates according to specific needs, in certain percentages, such as 0-8 mm and 0-16 mm and 4-16, which is often used for laying pipes and the like.
